Are you trying to find the best BJJ Gi to achieve your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu objectives? In that case, you are in the right place. I'll be talking about various BJJ Gi kinds, getting the appropriate fit, materials and durability, aesthetics, pricing range, how to take care of your BJJ Gi, various BJJ Gi brands, and well-liked BJJ Gi styles in this blog. Learn how to choose the ideal BJJ Gi for your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu objectives by reading on!

    Overview of BJJ Gi
The traditional martial arts attire used for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is called a BJJ Gi, or jiu jitsu Gi (BJJ). The BJJ Gi consists of a jacket and pants constructed of a thin, breathable material, typically cotton. The Gi gives the grappler an outfit that is comfortable to move around in while also offering protection and grip. As it may be used to control, manipulate, and submit an opponent, the Gi also aids in promoting the technical component of BJJ. Additionally, some companies provide customized Gis, which can be a wonderful way to give your Gi a unique touch.

    Different BJJ Gi Styles
Depending on the BJJ style you are training in, there are various varieties of BJJ gis. The most popular traditional Gi is the Atama Infinity Colab, which is often constructed of breathable cotton fabric. Because the fabric is breathable and lightweight, this style of the gi is ideal for beginners. Gis for competition is made to be stronger and lighter because they are frequently used in competition. Competition Gis fit more closely and frequently have stronger stitching and fabric.

    Choosing the Best Fit
Your performance and comfort in your BJJ Gi depend on finding the proper fit. It's crucial to precisely measure oneself when buying a BJJ Gi. You can use a measuring chart or a tape measure to accomplish this. You should check the size chart for each brand before purchasing because different Gis brands have different sizing systems. Additionally, it's critical to check that the Gi is properly fitted—snug but not too tight—as this can limit movement.

    Materials and enduring power
It's crucial to think about the Gi's longevity and material while selecting a BJJ Gi. The ideal option for novices is typically a lightweight cotton Gi, which is how most Gis are constructed. Gis made of cotton is lightweight and breathable, making them perfect for working out. Gis made of cotton is frequently long-lasting and highly durable. If you want a Gi that will last longer, you might want to think about using polyester or ripstop fabric. These materials are made to be stronger and more resistant to damage.

    Aesthetics
There are several different BJJ Gi styles to pick from in terms of appearance. The traditional Gi often has a white jacket and white pants and is basic. Gis are available in a range of hues and patterns, including black, grey, blue, and camouflage. Additionally, there are Gis with distinctive designs, stitched patches, and logos. It is crucial to get a Gi that looks attractive and accurately represents your style because finding the best Gi for you will depend on your particular preferences.

    Price Range
There are several choices available when it comes to the cost of a BJJ Gi. Gis often cost between €50 and €200, depending on the brand and quality of the Gi. It's crucial to keep in mind that the price of the Gi most of the time corresponds to its quality, as some less expensive Gis will never be as good as an expensive Gi. Additionally, it's critical to keep in mind that you get what you pay for, so making a longer-term investment in a higher-quality Gi may be a good choice.

Care Instructions for Your BJJ Gi
It's critical to take good care of your BJJ gi to preserve its durability and quality. It's crucial to wash the Gi in cold water and hang it up to dry following each training session. It's also vital to avoid using bleach and fabric softeners because they can harm the fabric. To protect the color and fabric of your Gi when storing it for an extended period, it is preferable to keep it in a dry, dark location.

BJJ Gis from a Variety of Brands
There are numerous brands to choose from when purchasing a BJJ Gi. It's crucial to do your homework and discover the best Gi for you because every brand has a different aesthetic and selection of gis. It's also crucial to read reviews and comments from other BJJ practitioners, since this may be a fantastic method to learn more about the value and effectiveness of each brand.

    Favorite BJJ Gi Styles
There are numerous choices available when it comes to BJJ Gi styles. The most well-liked designs include lightweight Gis, ripstop, single weave, and double weave. Each of these designs has benefits and drawbacks, so it's critical to think about which style would best meet your needs. Additionally, some companies provide customized Gis, which can be a wonderful way to give your Gi a unique touch.

    Conclusion
It can be difficult to find the ideal BJJ Gi for your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu objectives. Washing your BJJ Gi

We all like to buy something new, don't we? Perfect product, brand new, that unforgettable smell ... With a BJJ Gi it's no different and of course we always want to keep that feeling for longer. A lot of people ask for washing tips and now the time has come: we have put together some basic instructions that will help you extend the life of your Atama Kimono!

So, unless you are still living in ancient Japan with those ladies above taking care of your kimono, you should pay real attention to the tips below ;-)

1- UNDERSTAND YOUR PACE - if you train a lot, several days a week, one single BJJ kimono will not be enough. Have more than one and switch between them. So both can last longer.

2- ALWAYS WASH! - there is no way around it, if you used you MUST wash it. Never leave the BJJ Kimono wet and muffled inside the bag, backpack or lying around. This will only cause it to proliferate bacteria leaving an unbearable odor  (for you and others).

At the time of washing, pay attention:

    a) Always use cold water.

    b) Try to wash your colored BJJ kimonos by hand and use neutral soap. Ok, we know that hand washing is not easy, if you go ahead and use the washing machine, please make sure to choose the right soap without any kind of bleach or chlorine.

    c) Under no circumstances use bleach! This can damage the fabric of the BJJ Gi and you will not want it, right? If you have white BJJ kimonos, you can use half a glass of bicarbonate of sodium to make them whiter - but that's all!

    d) Dryers can shrink the BJJ kimono, so avoid it too! Hang dry them in the shade, it's the best option.

Remember, a clean BJJ Gi shows respect for your master, your friends and yourself!
