About Atama Europe – Official Atama Distributor Since 2009

Atama Europe is the official distributor of Atama BJJ gis and apparel for Europe. We have proudly represented the Atama brand on the European market since 2009, and our goal has never changed: to bring original Atama Jiu-Jitsu gis to the people who train in them.

Who we are

We are based in Cascais, Portugal, and our team is made up of black belts who train, live and breathe Jiu-Jitsu. The questions you ask us about sizes, fabrics and fit are the same questions we ask ourselves on the mat every week. From Portugal we ship Atama BJJ gis, rash guards and accessories to customers all over Europe.

The Atama brand

Atama is a Brazilian brand from Rio de Janeiro, the city where Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grew up, and one of the most traditional BJJ gi brands in the sport. Atama kimonos are made in Rio de Janeiro, and every Atama gi we sell is an IBJJF approved BJJ gi, ready for competition.

Atama gis are known for their durability: 100% cotton jackets, a seamless back and reinforcements at the stress points, built to last through years of hard training. Atama has been worn by generations of Jiu-Jitsu legends, among them Carlson Gracie, Royce Gracie and the founders of Nova União, Dedé Pederneiras and Wendell Alexander.
