Some legends are worn. This is one of them.
For over two decades, the Atama Mundial series has been the kimono of champions. Worn on the mats of the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions in the world — from local academies in Rio de Janeiro to the main stage of the IBJJF World Championships — the Mundial name carries weight that goes far beyond fabric and stitching. It carries history.
Generation after generation, the Mundial has been refined, perfected and reborn. Every version a step forward. Every version a statement. And now, with the Mundial 10, Atama has done something no other brand has ever achieved: they've built the most advanced BJJ gi ever made.
A Fabric That Exists Nowhere Else on Earth
The heart of the Mundial 10 is its jacket fabric — a proprietary 600 GSM exclusive weave, developed and owned entirely by Atama. This isn't an off-the-shelf material improved with a logo. This fabric was engineered from scratch, in Brazil, by the same people who have been dressing world champions for decades.
It is a revolutionary hybrid: a fusion between Single and Double weave construction that achieves what once seemed impossible — the toughness and durability of a Double weave with the comfort and lightness of a Single weave. No other brand in the world has access to this fabric. When you wear the Mundial 10, you're wearing something truly one of a kind.
Every Detail Designed for the Serious Competitor
The Jacket
• Seamless back panel — one continuous piece of fabric across the back, eliminating the traditional centre seam that digs into your spine during guard work. Hours on the mat have never felt this comfortable.
• Exclusive 600 GSM proprietary weave — 100% cotton, developed by Atama. Brutally durable for your opponent to grip, incredibly comfortable for you to wear.
• Reinforcements on all stress points — because every submission, every takedown, every hard roll is a test of your equipment.
• Anti-bacterial rubber lapel filling — super lightweight, makes the collar stronger, faster to dry, and more hygienic. Will not absorb water or odour the way traditional foam does.
• High definition embroidered Atama logos on both shoulders and back.
The Pants
• Exclusive Military Rip-Stop fabric — lighter, stronger and more durable than standard cotton. Built to withstand years of hard training without breaking down at the knees.
• Double reinforced knee pads — because the mats are unforgiving, and your gi shouldn't be the weak link.
Worn by the Greatest Champions in BJJ History
The Mundial series hasn't just been present at the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu — it has been on the back of the athletes who defined the sport.
Bruno Malfacine — 10x IBJJF World Champion, the most decorated competitor in BJJ history, built his legendary career in an Atama Mundial.
Bernardo Faria — 5x IBJJF World Champion and one of the most respected names in BJJ worldwide, trusted the Mundial throughout his career.
Kyra Gracie — 4x IBJJF World Champion and the most iconic female competitor in BJJ history, carried the Atama Mundial onto the biggest stages in the world.
Rômulo Barral — 5x IBJJF World Champion, a dominant force for over a decade, chose Atama Mundial throughout his entire championship run.
Augusto "Tanquinho" Mendes — Multiple IBJJF World Champion, one of the most technically gifted competitors of his generation, competed in the Mundial at the highest level.
Ary Farias — IBJJF World Champion and one of the most explosive athletes in the history of the sport, won in the Mundial.
Braga Neto — IBJJF World Champion and one of the most respected competitors in BJJ history, a loyal Atama Mundial athlete.
And many, many more world champions across every belt, weight class and generation have stepped onto the mat in an Atama Mundial and left as champions.
These aren't just names. They are the living legacy of this kimono.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Atama Mundial 10 approved for IBJJF competition?
Yes. The Mundial 10 is fully approved by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) for use in all official competitions. You can compete at the highest level with complete confidence.
What makes the Mundial 10 fabric different from other gis?
The jacket fabric is a proprietary 600 GSM weave developed and owned exclusively by Atama — no other brand in the world produces or has access to this material. It is a unique hybrid between Single and Double weave construction, delivering durability, comfort and a perfect weight balance that simply cannot be found anywhere else.
Is the Mundial 10 heavy to wear?
Despite its 600 GSM construction, the Mundial 10 is engineered for balance. The proprietary weave achieves a thickness that is tough on your opponents while remaining comfortable for extended training sessions and competition. The anti-bacterial rubber lapel filling also contributes to keeping the overall weight down compared to traditional foam-filled collars.
How does the seamless back panel benefit my training?
The jacket is made from a single piece of fabric across the back — no centre seam. This eliminates the discomfort that traditional seams can cause when you spend time in guard with your back on the mat, making long training sessions noticeably more comfortable.
How should I wash and care for the Mundial 10?
Wash in cold water (30°C maximum) on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry — air dry flat or hang to preserve the shape and integrity of the weave. Do not bleach or iron directly on embroidered areas. Proper care will extend the life of your gi significantly.
Will the Mundial 10 shrink after washing?
Like all 100% cotton gis, the Mundial 10 may shrink slightly after the first wash. We recommend washing in cold water and air drying to minimise shrinkage. Many athletes find that after one controlled wash, the gi settles into a perfect fit.
Where is the Mundial 10 made?
Every Mundial 10 is proudly handcrafted in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil — the birthplace of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This is authentic Brazilian craftsmanship, not outsourced production.

5 stars
10 out of 10, quality item and I would buy again.
Great go
Love this gi would def by again and the fit is perfect
Very stiff and shrank too much
I am disappointed with my purchase. The gi is very stiff which makes my movements difficult on the mat. Moreover, it shrank more than I expected and it's now tight on the back. I'm not very comfortable in it and I can't really use it.
